Whaddup Chroniclers? Well she did it, the HB finally got to see Niagara Falls peeps. It’s been a bucket list item for awhile. We tried to make it last year, but due to unforeseen circs, we had to miss it.
Samatha Stevens wants me to tell you what happened. She was nodding her head, unblinkingly staring into my eyes, trying to do that voodoo that she do, subliminally trying to hypnotize me, “You wanna tell the story, right?”
Okay, so it went like this: we all jumped into cars; James, Glenda and their daughter, Dalayna in ours with me and the HB, and the other two cars full of people too. We leave the RV park and head out the I-190 over the bridge. I missed exit 21 and had to get off at exit 22. “Oops. I did it again.” There, I told it. Are ya happy, Samantha?

So back to Niagara Falls. Admittedly, I was all like, whatever. Water over a bunch of rocks, what’s the big deal? I can remember back in the day when folks would come here for their honeymoon. I never really had the urge. BUT now that I have been here, it was pretty cool. I was amazed at the amount of water, the power and just wow, the immensity. Now, I will never admit publicly that the HB had a good idea. I’m just gonna sit back and act all nonchalant, like I didn’t just see some crazy water stuff.

It’s kind of amazing the way they shuttle people around on these ferries. When you look down, about two hundred and eighty feet, you can see these tiny, little toy-like boats, with a whole bunch of ants going

on and off them wearing blue plastic ponchos. There appear to be like three or four boats, all navigating in a circle up to the falls and back around to shuttle more ants onto the next go round. If you were to look across the river, there is a mirror image of the same thing, these boats all have red poncho ants on them. That’s Canada.

We took the elevator down for our turn to get onto the boat, only to learn that each boat has a capacity of 600 people. SIX HUNDRED! And then I looked up at the observation tower, and it looked much higher than 300 feet tall. We get moved onto the boat like cattle and pick a spot on the rail, waiting for the boat to move out to see the Falls. I have to admit, watching and feeling the excitement of the people around me and especially the HB, the anticipation of what I’m about to see was kinda getting to me. I started to feel like a five-year-old on Christmas. Once the boat started to move out and get closer to the Falls and I saw the sheer power of that water, I couldn't wait to get back to the top and find a barrel!
If you ever get a chance to go, be advised: you will get wet. I’m not sure what the ponchos did for us, except identify tourists from boat workers. But, it was so humid that we were wet before we even got onto the boat anyway.

But enough about your hero. You probably wanna hear about Samantha, Stephanie and McCroc, right? Well, McCroc made sure that he had the correct boat shoes for the occasion and after we wrung Stephanie out and she dried up a bit, Samantha was happy all over again.
We made it over to Canada to eat at The Keg Steakhouse in the Embassy Suites. Food was delicious and the view was spectacular! Navigating the roads in Toronto was challenging. But all in all, we had fun!
There are rumors that another publication may be trying to squeeze the Chronicles off of your doorstep. They wanna call it “Off the Marc.” I don’t think it’ll catch on.
One band, one sound.
Drink 'em if you got 'em!
