Hey Mike …Mike …Mike, what day is it? It's Hump Day! C'mon Chroniclers, lift that mug in a toast!
We're on our last day of glamping, the next few day are travel days as we wind this b*tch down and head west toward real life and astronomic gasoline prices.
EIGHT WEEKS! It's been a blast for the HB and I and we got to share it with some pretty cool folks. I am already planning where I wanna hit next year; "Maine-ly" Sh*t Talk Rock is definitely on my list and gotta check out the "Rail Haus" in Dover. The rest of the trip is TBD at this point.
I feel the need to straighten out a rumor that has been circulating among my crew. The other night during the craziness that was the thunderstorms that terrorized most of Texas. I’m not sure how the rumor started, but my first inclination was for the safety of my crew. There was no need to worry about my second in command, Cmdr. McCroc, because I knew that he would be curled up in the fetal position, his thumb in his mouth, all the lights off and every single electrical appliance, including the fridge unplugged until he was sure it had all passed.
My concern was for the new kids. They have yet to experience weather systems like we had that night, and I was sure that their curiosity would draw them outside. I was correct. I walked down the row and the Professor & Yoko and the Doc, Samantha & Tink were all outside of their respective RVs looking up at the sky, ooohing and ahhhhing at all the pretty lights. The Doc even did a video of himself, pretending to be a TV weatherman interviewing the other members of the crew.
Like any good captain would, I suggested that they move indoors where it would be safer for them, “HEY! YOU KNUCKLEHEADS DO REALIZE THAT THE ONLY PEOPLE OUTSIDE RIGHT NOW HAVE CALIFORNIA LICENSE PLATES ATTACHED TO THEIR VEHICLES, DONCHA? GET BACK INSIDE YOUR COACHES, YA BIG DOOFUSES!”
…and then I walked leisurely back to my motorhome to watch the show in the relative safety of a warm, dry RV.
That was it. End of story. Nada mas. Finè.
Now, onto our trip down to Magnolia Farms.

We made the 79-mile drive down to Waco where we stopped in, had breakfast, and then shopped in the “Silo District.” Chip & Joanna have revitalized Waco. They are the principle draw to town unless you’re a Baylor fan. Remember when it was two people and Shorty remodeling houses? Yeah, well they now have over 700 people working for them. And they aren’t discounting anything with their name on it, that’s for sure!

Look, we could've kept driving south for another 103 miles and gone to Buc-ee’s, that’s all I’m saying. We have a few more days of driving through Texas, hopefully we hit one more of those gems before we’re outta the state.
Drink ‘em if you got ‘em!
One band, one sound.
