Whaddup Chroniclers?

Yep, yesterday was a travel day, and your intrepid reporter was packing and not writing. So I guess I’ll tell you about how the Professor is responsible for the untimely demise of two rental chairs. Oh, wait, I’ll get to the Professor later.

Good news, bad news. We made it home! Uh…well, some of us did. And those of us who did get home did so in shifts. If you’re a true fan of the Chronicles and have been a reader since Day One, you know that no trip would be complete without hearing a shrill cry for help over the radio from McCroc. Yup. We broke his RV again.

I’m sorry to say that the last time we saw the Cmdr & Mrs. Scrubbles, there was a guy named Fernando hooking them up to a big rig tow. They spent the night in a parking lot in Bakersfield.

It took us a few extra hours to get home, but we made it.

Aside from the trip home, we had a GREAT time listening to good music and hanging with good people, although the HB had a few questions:

“Is Panda really a foodie?”

“Do they still sell Sergio Valente jeans?”

The HB was also more than a little curious about Dot’s (only I can call her that) friend, Jackie: “I never realized that she traveled with a full-sized mannequin. Is that mostly for the carpool lane?” She nodded after I explained that Jackie was actually a real-life person who was practicing to be a model for her local community college's art class.

Hey! We had a blast! See y’all next year.

Remind me to tell you about the Professor and how he got into a fight with some rental chairs.

Drink ‘em if ya got ‘em!
